Everything is all ready to go for Saturday night’s Absolutely Yes in Tottenham. It runs from 10 til 4 and is £5 to get in all night
The address is Five Miles, 39b Markfield Rd N15 4QA.
Here’s everything else you need to know
TRAVEL
As it’s our first time out of South London we though it a good idea to let you know how easy and cheap (and potentially even a lot of fun) the travel to and from the venue is
The Victoria Line runs all night as part of the 24 hour tune network and Seven Sisters and Tottenham Hale underground stations are both a five minute stroll from Five Miles
Use the map in the comments below and follow the red arrows from either station
To get to Seven Sisters or Tottenham Hale is really easy from South.
If you’re on the Peckham/New Cross side of things or anywhere on the Ginger Overground just get a train to Highbury and Islington and get on the Victoria line from there, it’s just 2 stops to Seven Sisters.
If you’re anywhere near Brixton, Vauxhall etc then just get the Victoria all the way
Either way its dead easy, cost about two quid and you can have a party on the train while you travel
If you’re coming from Dalston, Stokey or Hackney best is probably a bus up the A10 to Seven Sisters and then follow the map
MUSIC
Five Miles in one of the best sounding small clubs in the UK. It’s a completely soundproofed wooden room with a custom soundsystem built into the wall that the dj booth is on
Your Djs for the evening will be
Andy Blake – his last guest slot for us for a while
Gigi FM and Living aka Scylla
and your hosts with the most Amy Alsop and Total Fiasco
DRINKS
Five Miles isn’t your average nightclube when it comes to drink. They have loads of really interesting beers on draft and also a fairly unique set of cocktail taps, four of them to be precise. For Absolutely Yes we’ll have Negronis, Espresso Martinis and two more still to be decided. Feel free to make suggestions in the comments, you may just get what you want.
