Joanne uses algorithms to drive hardware synthesizers, projecting her code for your pleasure. Her sets shift between cracking noise and drone to fragmented beats. Drawing inspiration from the instability of her technologies, she writes code that challenges the sonic potential of her machines. She is active in electronic music research working with sound, physical computing, digital media and interaction design to explore how digital sound can connect with the body through haptic feedback.
